We are learning about pushing and pulling!

We made Valentine’s Day cards for the people we love! 

We have been very busy in the Junior Classroom. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek at some of the fun we’ve been having!

This month’s Aistear theme was ‘Polar Lands’ and the junior room has been learning all about the Arctic. We studied the Canadian artist Ted Harrison who’s work is inspired by polar landscapes. We painted paintings in Ted Harrison’s style using simple colours and shapes.

You may have seen our post back in November showing our canopic jars made out of clay. Here are the finished products!

Our first snowdrops have made an appearance this week!

This was more difficult than it looked!

We held a very special event at the beginning of December – The Billis Bake-Off! Each pod in the senior classroom was given ingredients and a recipe to follow. We weighed, chopped, crushed, mixed and finally we produced our delicious buns!

The girls made Church Window Buns. The boys in 3rd & 4th classes made Mars Bar Buns and the boys in 5th & 6th classes made Chocolate Biscuit balls.

We loved baking at school. Sampling our buns was the best bit of all!
