This year we celebrated Lots of Socks Day at school on Monday 23rd March. We all wore our bright and colourful odd socks and we completed a whole school collaborative Art project where we made sock bunnies! A huge thanks to all of our families a staff who generously donated to our fundraiser for Hub21. We raised a total of €246.70 which we will be delighted to forward directly to Hub21 to support children and young people with Down Syndrome.

Today The Billis NS took part in our first ever Cross Country competition at St Mellans, Truagh. We are so proud of our girls team and boys team who had all trained so hard and performed so well today. Well done everyone!

It was wonderful to have Cara from Combiloft visit us this morning as part of Engineers Week.

It’s wonderful to have coach Euan back with us this year to brush up on our soccer skills!

We finished our six weeks of school swimming last week!

We were delighted to meet baby Tommy Ritchie when he visited the Billis last week. We really enjoyed all of his cuddles and loved seeing Mrs Ritchie again too!

The children in the Senior Room were treated to a trip to the Garage Theatre yesterday to see the production “Swipe Right” by pupils in local schools.

We are very thankful to Edel Mullen and Monaghan Integrated Development CLG for the invitation and for paying our transport to the event.

Monaghan Rotary Club gave us crocus bulbs to plant – this will help to support eradicating polio. Many thanks to the Rotary Club, we will look forward to seeing these in the Spring!
