It was lovely to welcome all the children back to school on Monday morning. It is all change at The Billis this week with new principal Mrs Laura McAree and new SNA Mrs Yvonne Martin. We are missing Mrs Williamson dearly as we navigate this new path together. Miss Gilmour is covering our Senior Classroom until Mrs Ritchie returns from parental leave. We are looking forward to a fun-filled year together!
At the end of the school term, we celebrated Mrs. Williamson’s retirement. This was a very special day! We at The Billis are so very grateful to have had Mrs Williamson. Mrs Williamson taught at The Billis for the past 33 years. She was 26 years the Principal. She will be greatly missed!
We were so delighted that Mrs Gilmour offered to bring in her beautiful dog called ‘Amy’ and its gorgeous four week old pup called ‘Sue’. We all loved their cuddles!
There was great excitement in school this week when Mrs Ritchie called to visit with her new little baby girl, Evie. This tied in perfectly with our New Life topic in SPHE and the children in the Junior Classroom thoroughly enjoyed a Q&A session with Mrs Ritchie all about baby Evie. We learned so much. Thank you!
We attended an outreach programme from Armagh Planetarium in the Oakland Centre in Glaslough. Dr. Rok showed us the night sky, the stars, planets, moon landings, and earth from space. It was amazing!!!!
