We were kindly invited into the Garage Theatre Monaghan to see Beech Hill College students perform their musical called ‘Rock of Ages’. Many thanks to Monaghan Integrated Development who put on the bus for us to travel with the children of St Mary’s NS, Glaslough. We throughly enjoyed our day!
We were delighted to welcome all the boys and girls back to school on Monday morning! We are all looking forward to a fun-filled year ahead!
Today we marked the end of the school year with an end of year Assembly. We celebrated achievements over the year with certificates for swimming, medals for Sports Week and prizes for winners of the Glaslough Tidy Towns Poster Competition. Sixth Class presented to us their memories of the time in The Billis and we enjoyed a photo slideshow from over the years. All children who are moving on next year were presented with “Billis Bears” as a little keepsake of their time with us! After Assembly we were treated as the ice cream van was waiting outside!
The weather was on our side last week as we enjoyed beautiful sunshine for Sports Week. We enjoyed a variety of activities ranging from traditional sports day races to our favorite games, circuits with Alana and so much more. Here is a snippet of what we got up to!

Congratulations to Amy Clerkin in Rang 5 who was chosen as the winner from our school for OHK Energy’s art competition! Amy’s piece will now go forward to the regional finals 😀
A great day was had by all at Tanagh Outdoor Adventure Centre! The sun shine and blue skies made for fantastic day out!

The children worked so hard on their school play entitled ‘You are Special!’ We loved having parents, siblings, grandparents and Board of Management members in to watch our performance. Well done to every single child, you are all very talented and truly special!
